Logic at its finest!!

Falc makes an excellent point here. If you want to dim down people getting massive amounts of money from contraband (which I'm all for) because it is ruining the economy, then you should most definitely also reconsider casino's and their massive impact on the economy.

It's really not a brilliant idea, as it would only be profitable to the richer people, meanwhile the newer people would be able to acquire less profit. Which is really something we don't want.

Contrabands need a rework altogether, and I'm happy to see the team is thinking about a different approach.

Contraband needs to have some risk involvement, there should be more ways to make money for new players. If they save up, earn a criminal organization's trust and prove his or her loyalty, then they can take the risk and set up contraband to make $$$$$$$

Before Pollux contraband update, contraband was a shit and a waste of time to make money, there were many passive ways that makes you more money than money printers and that shouldn't be the case. Money printers print money, it's highly illegal and usually getting involved in activities that gets you killed or sentenced for life. It makes perfectly sense to increase the price for the contraband, it's a high risk way to make an income that's worth taking the risk.

Why would I print money from contraband while I can fish for the same period of time as contraband and make more money than money printers?

Regardless of your "logic" the issue is that there is a handful of people earning insane amounts of money in stupidly short amounts of time, which is just unbalanced. You should not be able to purchase the most expensive item on the market over 10 times because you've made such an amount of money in a few days, that's just beyond unbalanced. There should be regulations on casinos.

The argument against casinos doesn't make sense. casinos are earning profit, not just spawning money out of thin air. contraband just gives you money.

This is true, completely true.

However, you have to know something is wrong when you look at the stats page and see 3 of the top 5 richest all made their money from casinos to figure out something needs changing.

Casinos is indeed a factor to spawning money out of thin air from money packs, casinos make people buying money packs so thus it contributes to spawning money out of thin air.

How do you suppose we regulate casinos then? A rule about a maximum bet you can place? A daily earnings cap for the owner? I just don't get how we can regulate them? They are completely run by the player and have no system attached to them at all. It's the people's choice to go and waste money in them. At the end of the day, anything that goes on in a casino is a transaction of money between two consenting players, both of them knowing the rules of the game they're playing.

The contraband issue can't be compared to this because it was creating these vast amounts of money out of thin air at virtually no cost and with very little risk if done efficiently. All it needs is a solid, hard-to-raid base (such as the middle slums apartment) and a small army of defenders and you got yourself an insane money making machine with a negligible chance of failure.
