It's not fun for the victim because in a matter of seconds they just lost $2000 which was produced in similar fashion[robbing, contrafarming, paycheque whoring] the fact of the matter is if you want to create an RP environment now-a-days you've gotta reward players... Guess that's how things roll in a false-passive environment.
