Joining the server

I don't know what's going on but when I join the server I instantly crash. I verified my game files, two files needed to be downloaded and I did so. I came back, still the same problem. All I did was unsub to some old addons, before that it was working perfectly fine.

Have you tried launching Gmod in windowed and then joining and see what happens.

What happens specifically; does your game freeze then crash or do you click join and it insta crashes?

I launch gmod, game freezes in the menu then it is fine. Then, I go to the server list, click the server to load in, and all of the addons load really quickly, unusually quick. And then the game freezes and crashes.

Also, I don't load in windowed, I load in fullscreen. I will try windowed now.

Try going to launch options and add -noaddons and -noworkshop
