Judging from Ryan's post, it seems to me that it's been forgotten that we did have V2D after Pines City crashed and burned. V2D at the time was brilliant. At the start anyway. Less and less people began to play, people abused a broken contraband update (not totally at the fault of the players), roleplay was decreasing sharply, shoot-outs 24/7. Understandably, the aggressive "role-players" loved it and want it back now. I will give credit to that, the shoot-outs were great fun. However, there must be a balance for this Gamemode not to turn into Basewars. That is when we reverted to V4B1 because it was a map we knew worked. The constant basewars was a big point for moving back to V4B1 as it was made very vocal by a lot of the community (alongside V2D being a temporary arrangement whilst we found a replacement for Pines).

Alright, I completely understand your point however I have a slight issue. V2D is more than capable of having great passive rp experiences, the two big shopping centres are better than any area on the map currently to build passive rp. The only reason that FL turnt into base wars on V2D was because of one a contra update and two because the staff never promoted passive rp on the server.

It is clear to see Lewwings you’ve nothing constructive to say and just attempt to annoy people. You talk about ways of re populating the server so fucking tell us these genius plans you behold. You clearly have nothing to say apart from the staff being a disgrace, which I completely agree with however that isn’t going to raise the playerbase. FL needs something new and fresh, whether V2D is that we will hopefully have to wait and see.

Alright, time to spill the beans of how to re-populate FL, and prove I'm not here to be annoying or sarcastic (according to MJ) or yourself.

Here is how you fucking do it:

  - Two clan officers that ACTIVELY engage with the clan world AND the community
  - Two event managers that can ACTIVELY set up and host weekly events/mini-events ON THE MAIN SERVER (event is useless for the most part)
  - General development that is focused towards pleasing a large group of players, rather than focusing on the single-player
  - Surveys, like shit-tons
  - Actually enforce the rules
  - Active administration and moderation
  - Active SA team that can deal with situations effectively and appropriately 
  - Monthly event night of the event managers choosing/staff's/community vote's


That should do it.

There's a difference between aggressiveRP and agressive bullshittery, the one you're refering to sounds alot like aggressive bullshittery cause there is no RP behind that, only shooting on top of shooting.

Basewars should be a bit further up in the gamemode list, as it seems like that's what you're looking for.

EDIT: I also kinda want to mention, a lot of you are going "omg we need stuff to happen apart from the map change" without actually saying WHAT stuff you want to happen. Like what do you expect, staff to wave a magic wand around and fix the server?

Telling aggressive RPers to leave definitely worked the last 20 times FL has done it right? Wait the server is dead because no Aggressive RPers are active anymore. Man, who would have thought pushing away the largest supporters of a community would be bad :/

Im trying my hardest to be respectful and professional about this thread. But people like you are a cancer to the server. Without aggressive rp, this server wouldnt be a thing. My entire Squad started playing on your servers on V2D because its a good map well optimized perfect size for aggressive and passive RP, lots of diferent areas for all kinds of diferent RPs and all close to each other.

But for some reason everyone loves overly, large badly optimized maps, that make people with Ryzen and 1060 cry at 15 fps on a city and for me it's absurd how no one appears to see how bad that new maps are.

If you guys ever decide to move back to v2d me and my friends will install gmod just to play on your servers again, we even talk from time to time on how great it used to be before.
