I was wondering if anyone could be of use to me here. I have this problem when updating steam for the first time, an error message comes up saying "Steam - Fatal Error Steam needs to be online to update. Please confirm your network connection and try again.
Any solutions?

Oh this one... I seriously couldn't access Steam for months. I'm on my phone but I'll try to help you when I get on the PC. In the meantime look at the steamcommunity forums and type in the error.
