I have noticed people being rude to new guys before and I think it's a shame. Everyone has been new to this. You, as hellshell said, joined during a dictatorship. In this case you can either do a passive RP, start a protest or something or you just could have gone agressive RP and tried to raid the president with your fellow rebels when you were a rebel.
I hope you have a better experience next time you join.

He obviously joined during a dictatorship, which even more experienced players find annoying.
You just gotta respect the laws till the dictator is gone.
And to the others insulting this guy, check his hours before raging with "Dis is RP u nup" and just help him understand how FL Dictatorship works.

Actually I pull off some pretty good and fun dictatorships.
Every one on my S.S. and in the Police had to speak with a german accent LOL.
Hilarious.
The players started to form a Resistance and it was pretty awesome.
Until a couple of guys random AK'ed my back on the street. LOL.

Unfortunately you indeed got caught up in a circle of events which can be not only frustrating, but difficult to comprehend for new players.
As a future point:
If thing's are confusing, unpleasant and the town is being run by a dictator - stay out of town, don't go walking around just to provoke the cops.
