I thought the goal is to make people have fun.
Raising the salary doesn't seem to change the main issue - the job is very uneventful and quite frankly boring at times. Systems with low player interaction erode the social structure that keeps a roleplay server alive.

The worst part of playing president is sitting around not being able to even go outside without someone holding your hand. A better salary would at least make it bearable.
