Who are we?

United Petroleum Corporation is a conglomerate of smaller oil and energy production companies who have banded together to form one large company.
We are pioneers in researching and developing new ways to harvest the infinite resources laid beneath our very feet and utilise them to our best advantage,

with a primary focus on harvesting fossil fuels from reservoirs buried deep in the earth's crust.

Why are we here?
In the search for a fresh new oil reservoir to tap into, our surveyors drew our attention to San Ranevo, a mid-sized town with a large, open expanse known
locally as the San Ranevo Bay.
During the survey, our researchers found that there is a large pocket of oil underneath the bay just waiting to be tapped into!
So, we're planning on making use of this new source of black gold to sell on to local businesses, to oil refineries and conglomerated dispensaries such as BP Plc.

How will this benefit me as a resident?

By planning to move our operations here, we're creating employment for all manner of jobs, ranging from cleaners to structural surveyors,
engineers to cafeteria staff, and everything in-between! This employment will generate a healthy revenue stream that will help this town thrive!

What about the environment? Isn't drilling for oil and burning fossil fuels damaging to the earth?
Nope!

Here's a list of roles that we are hiring as of now:

Managing Co-Director - Makes decisions alongside the Managing

Director. Involved in making decisions that affect the entire company.

Marketing Operations Manager - Helps market our services
to members of the public and large corporations who may
be interested in purchasing our products and services
(You do not need to play in-game to do this job!)

Public Relations Manager - Helps maintain our relationship
with customers and suppliers, resolves any issues
that may cause our reputation to be damaged
(You do not need to play in-game to do this job!)

On-site Geotechnical Engineer - Oversees our drilling operations
and makes sure that we are drilling safely and securely

Supply Manager - Orders supplies to be delivered to the site,
manages any deliveries that are to be made via boat/air and takes
inventory of the rig's stocks and orders replenishments when low.

Machinery Operatives - Follows instructions from the Geotechnical Engineer,
operates machinery in a safe and efficient manner.

On-site Medical Practitioner - administers treatment and helps aid
injured workers

On-site General Maintenance Crew - Making sure that our oil rig is
kept in good working order by repairing things, such as
burst pipes, broken lights, broken equipment, etc.

Cafeteria Staff - Prepare fresh or pre-made food to feed the
crew with, setting up when meals are given, etc.

Cleaners/Janitors - I don't think this needs an explanation

Just for some OOC information, here's some screenshots of the older-style oil rig that I've made for roleplay.
This'll probably be used later in the roleplay as a sort of demonstration of how the oil rig changes over time, much like real oil rigs do:

The main layout will probably remain unchanged over time, but certain things will change. For instance, in a newer facility, the textures won't look so old and battered, and certain elements may be missing, like the stacks of boxes clogging the hallway, and the shipping crates on top will probably be of a newer style model. All these elements can be easily swapped out (the rig in it's current state is around 420 props, allowing for expansion if needed), making for a fresh roleplay experience every time!

...At least, that's the plan, anyway.
