A way we could also choose is advertising. And no I don't have a newspaper article in mind.

But for example get some big youtubers on the server, make FL a topic in other forums, Better use and spreading of gametracker FL ranks and stuff. Better spreading of FL youtube vids. Creating guides for players on how to start that explain everything and jobs and stuff in the forums.

It doesnt help to get new players by pretending we are a DarkRP server. That will give them wrong expectations. And new players also don't help if we cant keep them cause they dont know what or how to do things

Add this to the list of things that will never work. Adding unrealistic ideas to the conversation just pulls away from the solutions that will really make a difference. People have said "we need to advertise" for years and nothing ever happens because that is just not a real solution. Paying a youtuber to come casino RP with 10 people isn't going to make anyone want to join the server.

We would advertise as a Semi-serious RP in the Darkrp section (Like servers already do.) New players will learn the same way everyone else did, by getting on and figuring things out and asking questions. Did you join fearless and instantly look on the forums to see some good RPing tips? No, because that doesn't even make any fucking sense. Isn't this the entire reason teachers exist? Don't they spam their "/help for RP related questions" for this reason? Just say you blindly think DarkRP is bad instead of making points like these that are unproductive to the conversation.

The idea isn't unrealistic.. Just because it was never really done? Just for you to know: I only bought GMod and joined FL because of a YOUTUBER. Without him I wouldn't even own this game. I only bought it because I loved the videos he made on FL and wanted to join it myself.

And with the DarkRP argument: Why not put it in the TTT area? Would be the same: You expect a gamemode you know and have an idea how it works. And if it is not thr case you would leave. At least I would because I want to play what I expected when I joined.

And whats wrong with putting guides and tips in the forums? Who said that you can't implement the threads ingame? Who said that you can't advertise them ingame? Teachers could manage and update such threads as they should know the most as a whole. Would just offer ways for players to understand it. It just can't work if it is never done.
