STORY TIME
The early start: 8 November 2018 Kimmy wanders in the building with her heels muffled by the carpet. She removes her fur-coated jacket and hangs it on the rack. With a sideways glace, she spots Ace standing behind the counter, mixing some cocktails for the night. “Not poisoned, I hope?” Kimmy says, giving the man her full attention. Ace shakes his head, bearing a wicked grin upon his visage. “Course not, Madame Redwood.” He ushers with all the confidence in the world. Kimmy gives him a half-hearted smile before walking towards the counter with equal confidence radiating in her stride. She edges closer to him as she bends her upper body over the counter. She extends her right arm to coil her digits around his ruby-coloured tie. With one forceful yank, she pulls him closer to her so his face faces hers. Kimmy gives him a glace before dictating: ”Not again, Ace. “ Ace blinks a few times before rapidly nodding his head. Kimmy furrows a brow as she sighs, releasing him from her hold. “Is Ace being a pain again, Kimmy?” Bobby asks. Kimmy squeals as she hears the Butcher behind her. She immediately turns her body to face him. She wraps her arms around him to embrace him with the help of standing on her tippy toes. Kimmy brings her lips closer to his, only to be denied by his turn of the head. Kimmy is relentless it seems and plants her lips on his cheeks. She leaves a red mark on his cheek but remains silent about it, having a cheeky smile on her features. Perhaps her way of marking ownership. She turns to face the stage on the other side of the bar and claps her hands. “Let’s get this show on the road, boys.”
