What happened to FL?
Ok I have decided something, based on everything in this thread and the fact that as Divey said people are now playing again when this thread was posted. I have brilliant business idea!

Lets make one of these threads every day, and then the player numbers will rise lots every day!

Hello thank you for your time.
I've been tracking this thread for quite sometime, alongside other related ones. It seems a common issue the community are having right now is a lack of trust towards the staff team due to the feeling as to how they are maintaining their position despite the problems a lot of people are having. While I do not agree with all the statements being made there are some valid points that have been raised by some. I do feel responsible for perhaps being too kind in the past, however it's important to note that you do not see all the hard work by these folks behind the scenes - and I can say the same for myself, the community has a different perspective on people in comparison to someone who is meant to manage them, which is why these sorts of threads are so important to be made, despite the fact that they can turn toxic at points, toxicity usually comes from a certain truth, a truth that is especially enlightening for me. In light of this, Awestruck and I are cracking down on the team, having made the the strike system harsher (https://www.fearlessrp.net/showthread.ph...#pid761309) as well as making internal changes in regards to some of our guidelines in hopes to make a more professional and better team for our community to be protected and represented by.

I feel the 18+ un-written rule being re-implemented would be another good move.

Feel free to list any rules you feel as though are enforced, yet don't exist and should be implemented.

Rule: All Admins and T-admins must be 18+ with proof of age given to SA's.

Reason: Older admins tend to have better judgement, authority (players take them more seriously and accept their words as that of an authority figure) and ability as admins. I feel this rule would benefit the players and staff team.

Besides from that I think better monitoring of staff should be implemented aswell with teacher and admins better monitored by SA's as well as some means to assure that SA's themselves aren't abusing somehow, I feel that is a big concern among some players as there isn't necessarily a way they could be caught out unless it was so huge they couldn't fight the amount of evidence and outrage, also think this is needed as the few times I've been on the Discord I've heard things about a specific SA unbanning his friends and shit but idk - also there was that one SA who is now banned who was abusing for nearly a year with countless times him being reported to admins and nothing happening. Have no idea how that rule would be implemented but that'd be nice.

Gonna probably sleep now I'm a tired boy.

As for the age thing. I used to share the same mentality as you, I thought that the team should only be occupied by players who are at least 18+. And don't get me wrong I do think players shouldn't be too young personally, however there have been many cases in the past that staff members who were in their 20s were extremely immature in comparison to those who were 16 for instance. It's very much so a case by case basis. I think the fact that we have a trial position really benefits this as it allows us to see peoples maturity and that has been a factor of concern in the past. I'm not disregarding the possibility that mistakes were made before however, but I just don't think age is as clear cut as some people think it is.

In regards to better monitoring of admins, that is something that Awestruck and I are aware of, nobody is perfect - but this point is exactly what we've been striving to improve on recently. In regards to some SAs actions going under the radar, admins know almost everything we do, there are certain cases where we don't fill them in on something in its entirety, but even then we give them little bits of information. As for an SA abusing his powers, I know there was that concern over Awestruck a while ago however I can assure you that Awestruck only wants what is best for the community and is doing a superb job at running the team and is a pleasure to work with. It's important to note that concerns usually come from a one-sided mindset, back then some evidence was heavily manipulated to try and make people sway a certain way, but then again although I believe I am an honest person and I am telling you the truth as to what I think of the situation, I am someone who knows him quite well so I couldn't blame you for not trusting me 100% either. As for unbanning friends, to my understanding this has not been the case for either of us.

Sleep well!

Completely understand mate, cheers for filling me in. Had no concern about you and have never doubted your usefulness as an SA and if there was any its gone now after seeing the professional manner you've conducted yourself in with these responses. No disrespect to Awestruck, just had heard those things and wanted them cleared up.

Thanks.

Just a FYI Minus, there has never been a staff has to be x years old rule. We have always had younger staff than 18. At one point it was recommended you be 16 but exceptions were always a thing

I remember there being some type of recommendation for age and that most were quite old sounding admins back then so I assumed it was 18. Cheers for the correction.

Also I don't know who Minus is my real name is Shlomo or you can call me Killroy. Ty.
We're hoping to that with these new changes, all staff will be held to a higher standard, as should be.
Kind Regards,
