We have something similar going through our congress in the U.S.A. Called SOPA. It's more or less aimed at piracy and Internet censorship.

I'd recommend watching that video again StillAlive. The first 7 seconds already pop up with a huge violation of personal privacy.

But it's for our own best isn't it? I mean catching hackers/illegal downloads and so on will get a lot easier.
Or am I wrong? I don't know. But personally I have no problem about my internet providers watching what porn I see ;-)

Did you not catch This has been disguised as a trade agreement, but goes much further?
Anyways, we have SOPA, which is like... the whole internet part, but no more. Its simply that they shut down file sharing sites like Megaupload, torrents, etc.

The idea of private citizens being policed by a company to protect the interests of major corporations disgusts me.
