[Guide] How To: Raid
#1
Warning: I AM IN NO WAY ENCOURAGING RAIDING. THIS SHOULD ONLY BE USED AS LAST CASE SCENARIOS.

Introduction:
This guide is for those that wish to raid the president. I see a lot of people random raiding on the server, which is why I created this thread. Hopefully, it will help newer members of the community.

Requirements:
  • A good reason, that does not break server rules (Hitman, NLR, ect).
  • An appropriate job title (Rebel, Guerrilla, Terrorist).
  • You must negotiate first, before raiding. Although it's not on the server rules, I believe that if you just take anything as an opportunity to raid, it is fail RP. In real life, people protest before resulting to violence.

The guide:

Pre-Step:
Re-read the server rules, before performing a raid:
http://www.fearlessrp.net/showthread.php?tid=8381

Step One: Begin by finding a team. Yes, you must find a team, as it is FailRP to raid alone, like Chuck Norris. Be realistic, you can't take out the president, and his whole SS/cop force alone.
  • Contact the Rebel Leader and ask for assistance. If you're already the leader, set an objective (/Objective <Note>) and tell them to meet you somewhere. After doing so, try convincing them to join your cause against the president.
  • Put up threatening adverts (/advert <note>) recruiting citizens to join your cause.

Step Two: Find an RP way to get in the Nexus. (Assuming the president is in Nexus, and there's security in the lobby)
(i) I would personally bribe an officer to "accidentally" leave the door open. Be aware that he may arrest you at any time for attempted bribery.
(ii) Don't enter the obvious way. If you're a donator, wear a suit and say you're an FBI agent, and if you successfully got in, leave the door open.
(iii) Arrange a meeting with the president. Find good In-Character reasons why you should not be handcuffed, because you will most likely be handcuffed, then escorted up to see the president.
(iv) Enter from the Nexus Garage, as not many officers have security in the garage. Be aware that the SS spawn is located in the garage, and you might come in the wrong time, when an SS spawned. (You will probably need a lockpick to enter the garage.)

Step Three: Once you decide to open fire, you must yell raid! I recommend saving a bind, before going to see the president:

To save a bind, go on console and type:

Quote:bind <key> "say /y This is a raid! Get down, or I will shoot!"

Anyway, now you may fire at anyone that isn't crouched. At those that did follow your orders, and are crouched - I recommend you tie them up, and order of the raiders to stay with them.

Warning: If you die, NEVER go back to the raid. You will get banned for NLR.

Step Four: Go see the president. You should now order him to execute your demands. If he denies your demands, you may execute him.

-----------
F.A.Q:
Q:What's a good reason to raid?
A: Firstly, I suggest asking OOC if "So, and so reason is good" before commencing, even If I wrote it here. Like I said in the guide, before raiding, try to convince the president!
  • The president bans our freedom for a bad reason. This mostly applies towards physical freedom, since political freedom doesn't apply to the CityRP gamemode. So, the president does not allow you to speak your opinions towards him, and arrests you, then you have a good reason to raid.
  • Abusive police force. They randomly arrest you, and the president does nothing of it. If he says I will work on it, give him some time, and visit him again asking why nothing changed, if that's the case.
  • Works with an underground group of Mafia. If the president works with The Corleones, Gangsters, or even Illuminati, you may raid him. Why? Well, the president shouldn't be working with outlaws, and is being corrupt. I didn't include rebels, because their goal isn't to work with the government.
  • Outrageous laws, and broadcasts. If the president makes laws such as you must walk crouched, and never look at an officer, than you may raid him. Especially if he arrested you for looking at an officer.

Q: Are high taxes a good reason to raid?
A: It depends. If you RP it, it can be a good reason. For example, if the president is only caring about tax money, you should protest. Take this as an IRL example: In Colombia, the people complain about the government only caring about tax money, and not the people. Now, I strongly discourage raiding for taxes, but make sure you ask an admin before raiding.

Q: I'm a government employee, and I believe the president is failRPing. (Not responding to warrants, trolling on broadcasts, ect)
A: The server rules do say, "Don't take admining onto your own hands, however, you may leave the force, and RP your way to raiding him for being a bad president. (Not caring about the city)

Q: The president banned Marijuana, and/or weapons. May I raid him?
A: No, that's a stupid reason to raid.

Q: President refuses to demote/investigate into corrupt cops. Is that a good reason to kill him?
A: If you've provided evidence of corrupt cops, and he refuses to demote the police man, then yes. That makes him a corrupt president.

(I will add more F.A.Qs later)

Umm, you shouldn't raid the president. :p

This is for those that always raid. I'm in no way encouraging raiding. FL encourages passive RP, not violence.

Not bad, i dont see many guides about raids so this could come in handy, however, its not always FailRP to raid alone, but i dont think this is allowed anymore but you can create an organization thats secret and helps the president, but then betrays unexpectedly, but i think that is classed UndercoverRP so i think its been banned

1 question: If the president bans rebels (Your the rebel leader) from the city, would it be a good reason to raid?

If he banned you, it's probably for a good reason. If you're a Rebel Leader, try consulting the president, and work something out. If he arrests you/doesn't listen, you may raid.

They can't ban the whole team, for one or two people's actions.

I already knew how not to raid thanks THEIF learned allot from it, but its also good that there is a guide of how you should raid, hmm I still need to think which one is better though.....
