Title of Suggestion: Removal of Clan Claims

Description: Clan's for quiet sometime have made 'claims' in regards to certain RP type scenarios. You may be asking, "So whats bad about this?" the fact they can do it!

The first noted existence of 'Clan Claims' causing a conflict was between Yakuza and Semper FI. If you need to be brought into the light regarding this conflict... Two Superpowers went at it for two months resulting in serious E-drama, several bans, and serious drifts were created between players and admins alike. The whole conflict has some plausible connections to why tools which are used in casino-construction[hydraulics, motor, ect.] have been restricted to admins only.
Another thing which is disturbing in regards to 'Clan Claims' is the provocative force that some groups/group leaders will be willing to do to ensure they keep that rp to themselves. At points it can seem like corruption... I don't say that word often, but it sometimes seems like that at points... Especially considering any attempts to talk about the situations at hand has gone locked and unvoiced.


If you want my honest opinion... Claims of RP shouldn't be allowed. It's metagame, it restricts tools, and it's just downright unfair. Claims should only be made in RP, and dealt with in RP. If your gonna make a Casino in the server, and someone else is making a Casino. Feel free to shoot em' or contend against them. Don't just declare open game because your clan page says something.

Why:

I think it's pretty obvious why... We don't need Fail Rp'ers making terrible claims when they don't even do the RP. Also... Can you please unrestrict tools or atleast make a whitelist? It kills me that I can't use hydrualics for some things.

Also... If you wanna come here and try to lock it down before it starts... Make valid arguments. I don't want someone going, "It was here, and its here to stay" I would like to have atleast some good answers why Metagame should be legalized.

"I actualy agree, though i agree more with only being able to claim things that are:
1. Not widely used by everyone
2. It must match your groups type "IE:Research or Corporate groups cannot claim underground/criminal things"
3. Your group needs to actualy have experience in running said things
4. To claim somthing, you need to make a post stateing why your group should be allowed to claim this area of buisness and why you should have sole rights to run it. And Admins need to vote on if this is acceptable "Admins in the group posting will not be allowed to vote as it is a conflict of interest" "

The above makes the most sense in terms of granting the right to monopolize specific areas of RP

As for WHY Gambling is/should be limited to admins, Scamming is a bannable offence, somone comes on and builds a small casino or snakes den, people come in, gamble, and loose horribly because the dealer is rigging the games, or he simply has them all pay in and he logs off.

Specific people who maybe apply to run casinos, people who can be trusted and shown how to run it properly i could see working as a non admin only type of system.

I would love it if we had tool trust. Would be so nice to have some of the restricted tools.

Tool trust would be rather cool, maybe more tools unlocked after 50-100 hours on server? Of course, Thrusters and like tools should never be unlocked to non-admins...

I agree with everything you said and you said it so much better than I did in my topic, as for the tools you can use hydraulics now but I think some sort of special section on forum where you could maybe apply for advanced tools such as motor and wheels(obviouslt not for constructing cars.
