Are you using Mac? If so then you will just have to get use to it.

To add on to Kenny. I have a MBP and also have this problem. There's no fix unfortunately. Just bad bad optimisation.
What I found made the crashes less frequent was turning down my graphic settings. However sometimes this works and other times it makes no difference.

Hope this helps.

This happened to me when I had a Nvidia GeForce 8800 GT, I later upgraded to a Nvidia GTX 560 ti EVGA and it was fine. I now currently have a Nvidia GTX 750 ti EVGA and I haven't crashed since my GeForce 8800 GT.

Graphics card has 2 GB, CPU is very good (It must be good enough for garrys mod because it costs 400$)

Is it possible for me to have the EXACT graphics card and CPU so I can figure out what the problem is?

I used to have a 2gb(I think) Gainward GTX 260. But I upgraded to a Asus strix GTX 960 and its 4 gb, and it stopped crashing.

Maybe it's because his CPU is dual-core is what I'm thinking, which may be the cause of the problem Garry's Mod crashing without notice.

I had six cores with my old graphics card, I still have the same cpu in my new computer.  It still crashed, unless he had a old cpu

Um, you do realize you said your graphics card had six cores? I think you mean CPU there buddy. A graphics card has WAY MORE (CUDA) cores than six. Like in my graphics card I have 640 CUDA cores.

But, if we're talking CPUs here. Honestly, the best CPU for gaming is an Intel i7-3770K. Cause some games do use up CPU power, like Arma 3 for example.

Sorry was on my ipad at an airport, was in a hurry.

So, what I meant was with my old computer, it had a AMD FX™-6300 Six-Core-Processor.  With my new computer I still have the same CPU and motherboard.  The only things I upgraded in my new computer was the Case, Power Supply, Added a solid state drive and upgraded to a GTX 960 4gb.  My old graphics card had 2gb.  It was not the cpu that was crashing my game it was my old graphics card (which was a Gainward GTX 260) and since I upgraded it stopped crashing.  It is not the cpu crashing it, it may be his Graphics Card.
