Introduction

Hello, Recruit!

Ready to learn all the tricks on how to become the best police officer of Evo City? Wonderful, let’s hop right into this guide and let’s give you the key of knowledge on how to become one hell of a police officer!

Standard Issue Equipment

The EvoCity Police Department graciously provides all officers with:
A badge with a unique badge number
Collar pins
Standard Issue nameplate
Standard Issue USP .45 ACP
5 magazines of .45 ACP Hollow Point rounds, 12 rounds per magazine
Standard Issue Taser X26
Standard Issue ASP expandable baton
Handcuffs
Motorola CP185 radio
(OOC: ARREST BATON, RAM)

Misuse of this equipment may result in criminal charges against the officer, and all parties involved in the misuse.

Ranking Structure
At the ECPD, we have multiple ranks with their respective forms of Collar Pins. In order, the ranks are, with their respective collar pins:

You must follow the orders given to you by a higher rank at all times.

Use of Force

Here in EvoCity, there are 4 levels of force that a Police Officer can use to diffuse a situation.

The first level is Constructive Authority, which consists of verbal commands given to the suspect by the officer. This level does not consist of any physical contact or the use of a device such as an ASP Baton or Taser.

The next level is Physical Force, which consists of an officer having to initiate physical contact with the suspect in order to detain them. Level one (see Constructive Authority) is usually attempted first, but if the suspect resists, the use of physical force to detain the suspect is authorized. If the situation escalates quickly and the suspect assaults an officer, level one may be skipped and physical contact is authorized.

The third level is Mechanical Force, which consists of the use of an ASP Baton or similar in order to detain the suspect. Levels one (see Constructive Authority) and two (see Physical Force) are usually attempted before Mechanical Force is used, however, if the situation escalates quickly, the use of Mechanical Force to detain the suspect is authorized.

The final level is Deadly Force, which consists of the use of Firearms to detain or kill the suspect. Deadly force is only to be used if the suspect is:
  • Putting the lives of Civilians at risk
  • Putting the lives of other Officers at risk
  • Heavily armed and barricaded inside a building

Note that any unnecessary use of force may result in criminal charges against the Officer and action will be taken by the department.

Vehicle Procedures
Traffic Stop:

To perform a traffic stop safely, pull up behind the vehicle and activate your ELS and hit your manual siren (T by default) once or twice to signal the vehicle to pull over. If the vehicle pulls over, pull your car over to the right side and park behind the vehicle, run the plate if you haven’t already and call in a Traffic Stop to dispatch and notify them of the vehicles details and location. Next, step out of your vehicle and walk up to either the passenger side or driver side window and initiate contact with the person inside the vehicle. Do not ask the suspect to get out of the vehicle. Ask him or her for identification, and then check the name for warrants through Dispatch or your Police laptop in your vehicle. If the subject has no warrants, you may either issue a fine or a verbal warning.

You can also perform a Felony Stop, which is usually performed on a stolen vehicle. The procedure is the same for a Traffic Stop, however, you draw your weapon and order the driver out of the vehicle before approaching.

Vehicle Pursuits:

If a suspect flees from you, initiate pursuit using the tactics you will learn during basic training. Maintain a safe distance and radio in for backup, updating the location regularly. You should not pursue alone under any circumstances, so always radio in for backup. Once you have the vehicle stopped, draw your weapon, order the suspect out of the vehicle and proceed to arrest the suspect.

Conclusion

We at the ECPD hope that you will fulfill your duties to the best of your ability, using your judgment well in order protect and serve the city and its citizens.

Sincerely,

What happened to the section on "How to deal with a guy forcefully shoving a cock up your ass."?

Other than that the guide looks good.
