I got this problem. I just usually revert to first person and then back to third.

Perhaps it is a small bug, I suggest trying what MJ dose and if it dose not work then I will report this thread to Wood so he can look it to in, hope this helps!

I can't remember the exact details, but your VCMod settings could be the issue.
Open up the control panel (/vcmod) and check your settings. I think there's an 'autozoom'/'autofocus' or similar feature. Play around with that.
When VCMod was first introduced I had to play alot with the settings to get comfortable

This is what I did. Go into | /vcmod > Options > Increase Angle Stiffness to 100% |
It will disable the ability to go back into First Person while in Third Person. Also tick Ignore world if you don't want to have anything blocking the view of Third Person.
