Stop hesitating to upgrade guys, it's perfectly stable. I have been using it since december 2014 and although it was not much stable back then, the home insider preview you can download is pretty much like the final version of windows.

My laptops been booting in around 7 seconds and that's without an SSD.

I'm fairly sure that it is to do with Windows Updates now... Running some trouble shooters and I might get in touch with Microsoft and see what they have to say.
