Fishing bait
#1
Fishing has been updated with the addition of using live worms as bait. This is the first of hopefully a series of fishing updates.

Fishing without bait means the chances of success after reeling in goes down to only 40%. With bait in your inventory, it's 100%, but this'll go lower as new, improved types of bait of added.

You can gather live worms in certain out of the way spots in each map. You'll know them when you walk over them. You can't buy this in the market. It isn't much, but it's a little test just to increase the amount of gathered items there are, rather than just fish and weed (which is bought anyway).

Please stop making the game "realistic"

Realism is not fun.

Let's just let the gamemode stagnate with no updates then?

Even just a trial of something like this is great, it promotes exploring the map and fishing as a still viable way to get food.

Testing something will always be better than wondering what could happen if it was added. It also helps decide if the community actually want it.

I've been playing with this update for a bit, And I like it. It gives fishermen more things to do, And it makes it less dull, Normally when your fishing its like watching paint dry. Now, It gives people another task to do before fishing.

Also, Maybe add a shovel/spade so that they have to dig the worms out the ground. Just a suggestion.

Sure can. You can sell them to other players.

It's a move to not only make the fishing process more realistic and require more effort, but it is also a push to start creating a more player-driven economy.
