You look up at the behemoth of a building, the skyscraper looms over the plaza, in the middle is a fountain and on top of the center pillar of the fountain is a statue of a man, holding a globe with one hand, and his other hand held out. The Plaza is bustling with many workers going in and out, people on their holographic pads and earpieces. The central doors are flanked by two pristine robots. When people walk in the building the robots look to them and greet them. The ground floor looks like a shopping centre size room with a circular desk in the middle, Several circular lifts are at the corners. In the centre there is a holographic projection, it changes every so many minutes. Around the projection floats the words. "Mayclare International Industries."

The founder, Mark Shelfwood named Mayclare after his mothers hardware store called May & Claire, it was run by, who guessed it? May Shelfwood and Claire Ateltson. When computers first became commercialised, Claire discovered a love of computers and programming. However May was becoming disinterested in the buisness, and settled down and had a child called Mark, Claire split off and started working on programming. When Mark was older, hearing stories about the old Hardware store and seeked out Claire, who sparked his interest in computers. When Mark was 34, he was unemployed, tinkering with computer programming, one day he went to a job interview with an idea for a game. The Company, named Harmony Games, accepted him, taking his ideas, however he never had any games released. He worked with his friend Duncan Wickler, Duncan adored finance and dreamed of making an enterprise. However Duncan inspired Mark to go on an independant venture in creating first a subsection of Harmony Gaming, and then a buisness of creating artificial intelligence.
When the buisness was still a fletchling he hired Duncan Wickler to work for him, this buisness sprang off and they had little thought for names. They continued working untill finding a breakthrough, this breakthrough was that the world was fascinated by technology heard of on mass science-fiction media. His first release was a projecter, which seemed surprising to the public, as it out done previous designs tenfold. He spiked media up, which left him the question what to call it. He thought carefully about the name and when he was 37 he declared it Mayclaire Projecters. But no he didn't stop there, 4 years of constant developing, he branched out, video games, computers, hardware and software. A few years later he got married, and this slowed the productivity of the buisness.
Mark Shelfwood's Son took the baton. With a instant headstart in technology and programming, James started designing products that would revolutionise the world. By 18, he started to release bioic arms. By 26, he hit a winning product, naming it A-001, he sold the first personal/work android known to man. With this boom James took the liberty of adjusting the Mayclaire name to Mayclare and decided to change his surname to Mayclare to fit the company. Quickly this became the staple product, releasing several Robots, before investing in multistory warehouses and converting them in to factories, By the M-Series the trend had become to make human looking robots, unfortunately he made a terrible mistake in the P series causing a mass panic, killer robots.
While, yes, robots could be contracted as security guards, of which had weaponry. The P series were fitted with personality cores because they began to scare customers with their mindless automation (yet their human appearence), but this personality core opened the gate for emotions, such as hatred, loneliness and greed, this was a faux-pas, but not realised till too late. The catastrophe happened a few days in to November, although one or two reports of glitches came in, this wasn't a big deal, however, this incident was unprecidented, the Defective robot, P-52769365 had been enlisted to do mundane tasks around a house of a single 36 year old man. However he was unresponsive to orders. When the customer went to force the robot to shut down, he was murdered, The Robot had impaled him with a 1.7 meter free standing lamp. However this robot was never found, several attempts to deactivate it via the network that interlocked the android, the android had became self preservative. Bringing worse case sencario for the company. This incident lead to lawsuits in which James Mayclare was flushed out of money and bankcrupt by several court cases.
When James' Son, Curtis was old enough he reignited the Mayclare industry starting from scratch in the robot design. The Mayclare industry had had it's hands tied from the law suits and became a office body company virtually idling untill Curtis took over. He took over and waited out the Production ban, he completely redesigned the Robots with only ink saying "Mayclare" being similar to the P series. This was a multipurpose android which did not have human appearence. This allowed a boom in sales and is currently in service as the Q series. Curtis Mayclare made the Industry international, finalising the name to "Mayclare International Industries."
