Steam won't start
#1
I recently upgraded my drivers and as a result, some programs are not functioning including steam. I was hoping to get on today if someone knows how to fix it. It says connecting my account, then stops. I have an AMD 7690m XT. Please help me if you know how to fix this problem.

Is the driver update really necessary?
If note, rollback the update (Download the old update) and it should be working.
If it has possibly nothing to do with the drivers try re-installing your Steam and make sure to use the correct settings.

My drivers were from 2011. I reinstalled my steam and it gets a little further than before

I took a look at my processes and Steam.exe is not there. In the services, the Steam Client service constantly shuts off.

try removing it from your programs and reinstall it but this might help.
1-Press (Ctr Alt Delete) at the same time.
2-Click on start task manager.
3-Go to the processes tab.
4-See if steam is on there.
5-Click on steam and click end process.
This should end steam process and it makes it restart so you can reopen steam like nothing happened.
Again this might not work because steam might not be there for you but sometime it working but is glitched so it wont come out.
I hope it works man.
