I haven't had to yet, but it wouldn't make sense for you not to be able to. It should just add on to what you currently have.

It resets back to 90 days, doesn't add on.

Yes, you can purchase it now. It will just add 90 days to however long you've got left already.

It 100% adds on, I used to stack my donators and buy 6 months each time. Whatever remaining time you have, it'll just add 90 days onto it. For example, if I had 7 days left and bought donator, I'd then have 97 days and the big pockets and 100k.
