Cider/Applejack is not too hard to code, infact get the systems under control, and you got an insanely good gamemode. Do not rely on too many timers (Matt, you and your "Hook Think") And last but not least, use common sense when coding. Even the GMod Wiki does not recommend "Hook Think", jeez.

Good luck on finding your guy.

Let me burst your bubble.

The features and "artistic" changes in CityRP are indeed close to the ones in Applejack, however they are coded differently. They way the code is implented in CityRP is completly different in syntax as it is in Applejack.

Also not to forget Lexi has credits on CityRP's credits page.

If I'm not mistaking Dizla is Lexi.

Stop acting like a *** and gtfo.

I was just pointing things out that would be good to remember. I might have missed Lexi's name in the credits, my apologizes for that.

Loading screen progress:
http://jordanmrichards.com/rp/dev/loading/loadv2d.php

As you can see, this is responsive, so it will adjust depending on your screen size too.

I still have a few tweaks that I need to implement here and there.

EDIT: Made the facts fade in and out.
EDIT2: Made the facts fade in randomly.
EDIT3: Tweaked styling and converted flash into ogg.

What's it with you guys all complaining about who is and who isn't on the credit list? 90% of the developers of Cider(RP08 before community split in early 2009), have not even so much of a mention within the FL community, and the mention of either of their communities, be it Conna's or Teddi's/Ben's is considered dirty wording. Let us not even get started with how Cider(and Lexi's Applejack) has most of it's homage to DarkRP 2007, which is where most of the initial code and concepts came from.
Not trying to be a prick here, but seriously, a lot of people remain unnamed, yet none of them have come forward because they have already released their scripts and moved on. Let me just make a quick family tree of the Cider/RP08 gamemode to give you guys an idea how many transitions and community hand overs this gamemode has been through since 2007.

2006: DarkRP 2.0 is released as a public script by PCWiz and Falco

2007: RP07, a modification of DarkRP 2.0, is made by Ben of BBRP

2008: RP08 is coded by a five devs - Ben, Teddi, Whitefang, PcWiz, and Conna

2009: Conna splits off from BBRP and changes the name of RP08 to Cider. RP08 is edited by Teddi and Whitefang to make RP09, which was dropped as both devs went to college. Lexi picks up released copy of RP08(or leaked Cider?) and makes a gamemode known as MelonBrew Revival*, later renamed to Applejack.

2010: Conna releases Cider and Lexi releases Applejack.

Late 2010: SoulRipper picks up one of the three derivatives of RP08 - RP08, Cider, or Applejack - and turn makes CityRP

This is sorta an unspoken history of the CityRP gamemode, but if we are going to complain about unspoken developers, I believe every developer that had part in RP08, Cider, and Applejack should deserve a mention as they made the ground work for what later became CityRP. By the way a thing for Soul and Temar: Presently speaking Cider(and RP08) was recoded for GMod 13, and the code has been stabalized and released on the Facepunch gamemode forum. One method you guys could use is linking people to those gamemodes, and enabling them to make addons for those, and you do whatever has to be remade for CityRP.

*Melonbrew is the godfather of all LiteRP gamemodes. Older RP maps such as RP_Hometown that were released in 2005/2006 actually pay homage to it's reign at the time with mentions of things that went on in their community. Their community collapsed after the release of the early versions of "CrapRP" or what we now know as DarkRP.

Still contains factual errors.

Once Cider was released, Lexi and I started around the same time developing our own gamemodes on it.
Although they look the same, the scripts behind it are differently made.
Applejack got ideas from us and vice versa.

Dizla is not Lexi.

Instead of discussing the history let's focus on the future and let's see how these contributions will get eventually on CityRP.

Nice progress. I've also made something similar a few months ago (credits to Freezak for images). Take a look at it for ideas:

On that point, I was working on this one:

http://gmod.darrell.nl/loading/rp.php?st...7991210119

It does not use flash to play the music but the latest ogg tech which means that it also works ingame.
