Chief's Story.

Information
Alright, so Noobias and a few other players asked me who I am. About time to explain, I suppose.

About 3 years ago, I met Soundblaster, Soulripper, and Jelknab on the Ventmob Semi-Serious Applejack server. How I met them? Well, take a seat and listen to our story son.

So, 3 years ago. I wasn't that familiar with Gmod RP yet, although I was making progress. My grammar wasn't perfect, but I did my best. One day, I finally got the money to buy a few pistols and ammo. The Mayor was quite the angry dictator, and I decided it was time to step in and take care of him. So I went into the Nexus (not entirely sure why we called it that. I suppose it's a remnant of HL2RP, where the MPF/OW HQ is called the Nexus), and waited for the right moment. Then, after a minute or so, I pulled out my 5/7 pistol, aimed for the Officer standing behind the desk, and pulled the trigger multiple times. He was the only one there, so I was lucky. I ran past the desk, into the hallway, towards the elevator. As I pressed the button, the Elevator started coming down. And in it was something I didn't expect, and wasn't prepared for.
5 Officers, all aiming their guns at me, telling me to freeze and drop the weapon. I panicked, not sure what to do. And then, suddenly, the garage door opened, a man standing in it's opening, aiming an AK-47 at the cops. He opened fire, spraying the weapon's bullets all over the big group of cops, killing them all in an instant due to his element of surprise. He simply yelled "Let's go!", and I followed him into the elevator.
I recognized a faint Dutch accent in his voice, and asked him if he was Dutch. He was, and I started talking Dutch to him. That one Dutch guy was Soundblaster, an experienced player on Ventmob. He told me I could work with him, and so we went up to the top floor and easily took out the Mayor, who had no protection left after our massacre on the entire Police Team.

After that, we quickly escaped the Nexus using Sound's car (I believe it was a Golf), and went far into the woods. He said he had friends there, with a base, contraband and all. So we drove into the woods, and found a little wooden shack there. Sound parked the car, locked it, and knocked on the door, saying that it was him, and that he had brough someone. A somewhat dorky voice answered, saying "Coming, just hold on". The sound of the front door unlocking was heard, and there stood Soulripper, looking at us. Sound introduced me to Soul, saying I was a new player and wanted to help out. Soul didn't seem to have any problem with this, and so I entered. There I was introduced to Jelknab, Soul's little brother, who seemed like a nice enough guy. So they showed me their Contraband, a small PHX room with some planks to hold the combine-styled Contraband, an Elevator door closing it off, and a keypad being the only way of access. I was quite impressed by the sight of this, having never really been into a group like this before. The "Blood Brothers", we called ourselves. Staying low and gaining money to buy equipment from. The weapons were quite simple at the time. Just CSS weaponry. No Mad Cow or RealCS, just the good old simple stuff. We didn't really complain at the time. Soul did tell me the VM Admin team wasn't so keen on our group, for whatever reason. The VM Administrators were known to be quite abusive, spawning the most expensive weapons for themselves while normal players had to work hard for them. Players like us.

So we reguraly played on VM anyway, seeing as it was a good server nontheless. We even made a casino-like thing once. With all sorts of challenges people could participate in. Earned us a lot of money, seeing as they were near impossible. Poor bastards wasted all their money on us.

Anyway, after a millions of adventures which I mostly forgot, one of us came with the idea to make our own server. We had the money (or well, Soul and Sound did), and we could easily get our hands on DarkRP (yes, we weren't aware of the dangers at the time). Soul started learning LUA, and did his best to customize DarkRP a bit. He bought a server as well (or used SRCDS at first to test, uncertain), and we started testing. We implemented some cool cars, weapon shipments, etc. We launched a small server with it, and it wasn't very popular. In the end it ended up with me building a giant PHX wooden city on the top of buildings while I was a Hobo with a SG Sniper rifle. No, we were not very professional and experienced at the time. However, Soul then found Cider, the gamemode Applejack was based on. So we started modifying that. Worked out pretty well. Launched a simple server to see how it worked out. And frankly, it did work out. We didn't get a lot of players at first, but then we started getting more. All 4 of us were owners, although only Sound and Soul payed. Unfair you might see, but we were friends, and we shared. Although only Sound and Soul got donation money, mind you. Only fair.

A few weeks in we got some new administrators. "Zelda the Awesome" (now known as Nudelholz), and some others I forgot. Around a month into the server, people complained about my style of Administration and Ownership. I was quite strict and my attitude was harsh from time to time. So, I was demoted from Owner. This made me quite mad, and I left the server for a while after a big argument with Soundblaster. After a few weeks I rejoined the server to see how it was going. This period is all a bit shady, and I'm uncertain how it all went, but somehow I got a Moderator status, which basicly meant minor server powers and Forum powers. After all, I was a very active user of the forums, being the top poster and always having the webpage opened. Not long after we got 2 new moderators, The Fox and Killjoy. So I was promoted to Lead Moderator, basicly being in charge of the forums. Went well, and I remained strict (whether that's good or bad is for you to decide).
It was somewhere around this time that Kuromeku joined our server. Yes, Kuromeku, famous Coder, known for roleplaying gamemodes like BluePrint, Cider, OpenAura, Nexus, Kuroscript, etc.
It was both a very hilarious and sad day. He joined the server, and I was basicly the only one on the Admin team who really knew something about his work. So I TP'd to him at the spawn place, and there he stood. Just standing still, not doing anything. The entire server started swarming around him as if he were the President, yelling "KUROMEKUUUU!" and what not. After a while I saved him from this crowd of terror, towards the Administration room with the other admins. We set up a sort of a welcoming party. With props saying "Welcome to FL:RP!" and "Enjoy your stay, Kuromeku!". Just as we were finished and waiting for him to come back from being AFK so we could give him our welcoming speech, the server got a connection problem. Very odd timing, we thought. It was then that we discovered the server was fucked. It wouldn't restart, and the gamemode was broken.

We got Kuro'd.

So yeah, we spent a week or something getting the server back up, and PlugPayPlay's 'service' didn't really help in that. In the end we even recruited some guy to make a Flag system (basicly a system that would make some jobs require a certain flag given by an admin to play. I desperately wanted a SWAT job with applications and such, to make it more Serious RP), but he was just a liar and we banned him as he abused his "authority". For instance, he'd say "hey i can punchwhore people because i make swat yeyeyeye". Idiot. And so were we for believing him.
We ended up getting a scripter, Dizla, to help us out as well. He also made my long-awaited Flag system with Soul, for the SWAT (FUCK YES), and I became Squad Leader, with Killjoy being my second in command. 'Twas fun, and Killjoy had/has a lot of tactical experience, so he ended up being very efficient. More efficient in tactics than me, even, due to his military knowledge. In the end Dizla just stole the script though.

Not long after, there was a vote for new Administrators. I happily put myself forward as candidate, and made some propaganda and made a thread and what not. In the end it was a fight between me and Niels, a rather new member to the community, also Dutch, and a friend of Soul. I won the vote, and became Administrator. Not long after Niels became Owner (yes wtf), and started paying a lot of money. It was somewhere around this time that Night-Listner joined the server and started minging the way he did. He played for a few months, recieving multiple bans and warnings. One time I was a Mayor, and he shot me right in the face. I think that was the final strike, which gave me the right to reward him with a permanent ban. But before that, he manipulated Niels into corruption, promising to buy him a Keyboard, and basicly making him bark for it. Literally. "Do you want the keyboard? Bark for it! Cheese" And Niels went "BARK BARK WOOF WOOF! Cheese" Disgusting, really.

Anyhow, Niels started abusing his powers on our new CSS Surf server, and started being a complete ass in general. Sound started some sort of Stranded project (the survival gamemode), which didn't really work out. And then Niels launched a vote towards the Owners, to decide whether I should be demoted from my position or not. Surprisingly, Jelknab and Sound voted to have me demoted, leaving Soul as the only one wanting to keep me. This resulted in a giant riot, ending in Soul and I leaving FearLess RP, and creating a new community. We created a giant Steam Chat, with a lot of agreeing members and Administrators joining in. It was Killjoy who came up with the new name; "Semper Fidelis", a military term for "Always Faithful". Not long after, Sound and Jelknab crawled towards us and apologized for what they did. They were reinstated as Owners, and I was once again made Lead Moderator.

Semper-Fidelis went well. It was basicly FearLess but without Niels. Went pretty well. After a while Jelknab stopped being active, and got demoted for breaking some rules and generally not doing anything. So only Sound and Soul ended up being Owner, with me basicly being their right hand as trusted friend and what not. Although they had to keep me in line every now and then, so things wouldn't get out of hand.
It was then that Masterb0y joined, later found to be Night-Listner by this conversation (apologies for my grammar and attitude, remember this was 3 years ago): Chat log removed.

It was then that he (Marius) got permanently banned once again.
But well, things got out of hand anyway. Zelda, Killjoy, s.J, and some others wanted me demoted, otherwise they'd leave. I went into discussion with Zelda's arguments, and after a day or so he decided to stop the discussion and leave, together with a lot of members. Soul didn't think it was fair to demote me just because people wanted it, and kept on going with me by his side. After a while, Soul and Sound got into an argument over 10 Euro, and Sound left to make his own community, leaving only Soul, some administrators and members, and me. After a while we decided it wasn't worth to keep going, as we lost a lot of players, and so we shut down Semper-Fidelis, with me posting a goodbye speech on the website.

I then joined up with Sound's community, RadNation, which became the base for another 3-4 communities in which I all took part in. None of that is really relevant to any of you though.

Soul ended up starting FL:RP again, on his own, seeing as I was occupied with other things. And that's the FL:RP you're playing on today.

I hope this story explains things sufficiently, and thanks for reading this entire wall of text. Please take note that this is to inform, not to start discussions about the past (this is mostly directed at people like s.J, Killjoy, and Nudelholz).

If you want to know more about RadNation and my other communities, feel free to ask here or add me on mmaster599. Here's my Community Resume, anyway:

That's about all of it, no lies no bullshit at all.
Truestory.
But me Nudel and Killy left because we believed and still do believe that you were a very corrupt manipulator doing anything to gain some power.(No I'm not here to start another discussion but this is how I and alot of other members, those who left experienced it.)
But in all fairness that is the history of FL

I'd like to add, you were the only moderator lol.
No wonder you were LeadMod

Thank you, I suppose. And sure, I like power. In the end every single human likes power. It's human nature to want control in some way.

But indeed, let's not grab too much into the past. I wanted to write this all down for a while now, Noobias reminded me to do so. Enjoy, everyone.

And no, Killjoy and The Fox were moderators.

That was indeed a wall of text, and most parts of it are correct. (edit: Now it's correct). That were good times, and bad times at the same time.

To prevent confusion, the 'new' FL which started around 06-07-2010 has leave all these problems behind and started with a new team. At the moment of writing, everything is going well. No problems occured, except the demotion of Fallen as owner. The RP has improved a lot if you compare it to the RP in 2008. Now we are finally a stable and trustworthy community. With only 1 owner, and that's me. Smile

Also "The Fox" is not "Mikey the Fox" it's another person.

In the end, I'd give a lot to go back to those times. We had a lot of good moments. God the nostalgia.

Indeed, Soul. In the end a community works best with only 1 Owner, a dictatorship. I speak from experience there. All communities I've been in with multiple Owners/Directors/Whatever have fallen apart in the end. FL has always rised again.

A dictatorship I wouldn't call it, since this is not a country but a community. But indeed, multiple owners doesn't work out well in most cases. Wink

I feel bad that i've missed out on all of this, even the bad bits I guess.
I only started playing on FL in late december so.

Well Soul, a Dictatorship is a form of government/leadership where there's only 1 Leader. So technically it's a Dictatorship, country or not.

And well, it was quite the experience I suppose. I've learned a lot from those days.

I lol how you saved the chatlogs from 3 years ago.
And all you actually have been doing on FL is to try to make me look bad, and turn everyone against me.
How about you try understand that people change after 3 years.
And I feel sorry for you for trying to "hunt" me down for 3 years.
Your life most be sad, so very, very sad..

It was really nice to hear how Fearless started back in those old days.

But I don't understand, I started playing for about two years ago, how can I never have met you or some of those guys?

The only admins/moderators etc. I remember from "Old FL:RP" are Nudel, Fallen, Soul and maybe s.J (Cant remember when he joined).
