Gmod CTD Upon Startup
#1
So yeah, gmod crashes as soon as it finishes loading.
By startup, I mean the main menu popping up for a second.

Yeah, I've tried all of the basic fixers, reinstall, verify, etc.

Oh yeah, and it lowers my computer res in the short time that it runs.

Do you have the message HL2.exe has stopped working or does it just close down completely?
#3
Did you deleted the whole gmod folder? (steamapps/common/GarrysMod)
#4
Try to type -dxlevel 82 in Properties.

If that does not work just delete ur entire gmod folder like Mavis dracula said and reinstall.

Also before you do that try this as a last resort:

Go to your steam library and right click Garry's Mod, press Properties and go to General. Press set launch options and type the following:
-h (Height of monitor here, no brackets.)
-w (Width of monitor here. Again, no brackets.)

Eg: -h 1080 -w 1920
