The History
The La Rosa family are very adept at their line of work, as they have been serving their family proud for many years. They can be very friendly and agreeing, but do not get on the wrong side of them. For just around 80 years, there have been many new members coming and going.

It all started back in 1929, the start of the great depression. Two young boys, Guiseppe and Pietro La Rosa, had to find a way to live in those hard times. With their tough father, they earned money by joining a chain of criminal networks. Their family carried out the requests efficiently, and thus earned their respected title. As their father grew weak, and could no longer work in the family, the ownership was sworn unto his two sons, Guiseppe and Pietro, who hired many more into the family until it was a fully fledged 'mafia' organisation.

However, in 1979, they decided that they could not continue to keep up the pace in the family, and they passed the ownership into the respected hands of Ricardo "The Smoker" La Rosa. The most trusted people Ricardo knew were Jonathon "The Shark" La Rosa, whom is now the Underboss, and Jimmy "??" La Rosa, his best friend, the consigliere.

Ricardo has also started up some legitimate businesses within Evocity such as the La Rosa Cigarette Manufacturing and the La Rosa Winery, which both keep a steady income flowing in.

The Omertà Code
The Omertà Code of Silence is "The categorical prohibition of cooperation with state authorities or reliance on its services, even when one has been victim of a crime". A member of the family may not inform the authorities about a crime he has seen within the family after agreeing to this. Breaking this code of conduct is punishable by death. Even if a member is convicted of a crime he has not committed, he must serve the sentence without giving the police any information about the real criminal, even if that criminal has nothing to do with the La Rosa family itself.

The Cupola
The cupola is a very important "dome" representing a set of rules to carry out allegiances with different families. The La Rosa family may meet with another mafia family under the cupola to make sure there will be no fights between the two families. Sometimes there can be more than two families agreeing at a time under the cupola. The dome is a very important meeting place and when two or more families walk under it, it is a clear sign that they would like to be neutral with each other.

If you want to agree to a neutral alliance with the La Rosa family, come to our house (In-Game) or write a letter (PM) to the Underboss or Boss of the family.
Selling items to fellow Mafia families under the agreement of the cupola will include a small discount. Protection racketing stores owned by a family under the cupola is not allowed and will result in blood being spilt.
If you protection racket a store owned by a family under the cupola agreement, you will come back with one of these two options: Leaving with no money, or leaving in a body bag.

The Mafia Ranking System
In many Mafia families, the ranks are the same. The La Rosa family does not differ from this highly used ranking system.

Associates: RECRUITING

The boss is the main leader of the family, making the biggest decisions and running the whole business. His closest friend, the consigliere, represents him in meetings with other families, unless it is a very important meeting, in which the boss will go himself. The underboss is another right-hand man to the boss and he makes sure the boss is safe at all times, and arranges meetings within the family and outside of the family. He passes on the orders down to the caporegimes, "generals" of sorts. There are only limited spaces in the caporegime group and they are the ones who direct the soldiers, look for recruits and carry out the main missions by leading the soldiers. The soldiers are the members that carry out tasks that the caporegimes have passed on to them to do. They may infiltrate bases, spy and more. The associates are the new recruits in the family. They learn the ways of the soldiers by sticking behind and watching a mission in action, and may go through training courses by caporegimes. If they prove their worth, they could earn their way into the official soldier rank.

Join the Famiglia
If you wish to join the La Rosa family and accept the rules in which you will be abiding by within the famiglia (you will be met by the boss at a specified location), then send a letter to the La Rosa family.

OOC- Please remember that under the code of "Omerta" you cannot join this clan if you have previously been in a police clan with the same character (you can start a new life/new character in game if you want to start over and be able to join.)
