Can't you download the programs and put it on a USB stick? Assuming that the message you typed here is on another pc.

If you have a serious virus that you can't rid off, you could just reboot your reformat your computer from zero.

Best antivirus: Brain + Microsoft Security Essentials.

If some person REALLY wants to hack you, no antivirus will protect you.

I had my laptop for 2 years and I had a worsere problem than you
When I had it (25/12/09) within 3 months I had a virus and I thought my macafe will sort it out,
But some how the virus deleted my macafe software and It went from 1 virus to 1000+, so I had my laptop wiped clean.

Then 1 year later (then I and the same macafe software) it happen again, but this time macafe didn't warn me that it had expired,
it went from 1 to 10 (in 1 hour) to 25 and a trojan horse trying to get my bank details, then I had to wipe the laptop again.

And now I got Talk Talk anti-virus software (after we changed from Aol to Talk Talk) and its better.
Im not just perfect, Im WELSH.[Image: mca.png]

Meh, I've survived with no protection/free virus scanners for almost every PC I've owned.
