You just need a GPU card that supports VGA, DVI and HDMI (not really needed though)

Then you just buy a VGA to DVI cable, and you plug it in, lol xd.

I had dual screen too a while ago, now not anymore..
But the resolution of the 2 screens was totaly fuck. My head-screen is 23", my other was something like 19/20". So, that kinda fucks your computer setup.

Because my laptop is using some crappy Intel Graphics card, the software I have to adjust resolutions is so good that I can actually choose the resolution (I.e. I'm not limited to 1024X720 for example, I can go 1025X723 if I want.) Its a bit useless for gaming (as the game takes over the resolution control and sticks it on 1280X800) but its epic for office work (I can have my screen taller or longer depending on my needs at that moment.)

Yes. To clear up the various responses from people, you can pretty much with most monitors plug two in the back of your PC.

For me, I have a 19 inch monitor connected, and a 32 inch TV connected into the HDMI port.

You have two choices: copy your desktop (so its just two monitors displaying the same thing, which is kinda pointless I think)

Or extend your desktop, which means when you scroll of the side of one, it goes onto another.

As for uses, with two monitors, I can have facebook open, iPlayer, steam, even garrysmod too. Because I have them all in windows across both. Means you can do more Cheese

If you wanna play games full screen, it just uses one usually.

What she said.
