Hello. I need some help.

When i play games i have choppy freeze spikes all the time. This make the games not playable and i rage alot.

Specs:
Nvidia GTS 450 (For the moment overclocked)
AMD Athlon II X2 (Dual) 260
4 GB DDR3 Ram
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.

Games i play with choppy lag spikes:
Call of Duty Black Ops 2
Battlefield 3

And alot of other games.

Please help!

It might be something to do with not enough power going to your graphics Card/Power Supply.

I had this recently, and i re-clocked the speed of my Graphics card, and it seemed to fix the problem. It must have been that to much power was needed to power my actual graphics card, leading my Power Supply to mess up, which indeed will give you Lag spikes.

Basically do the exact thing as shown in the first video, but for the game(s) you're having issues with. You only have to do it once per game and then you should be fine.

For video #2, it decreased lag in every game for me, not sure if it will help you though.

If this doesn't help then I don't really know, however I'll keep an eye on possible solutions.

Could you give some more details about your system?

Motherboard, SSD?, power supply wattage, cooling system?

But i would consider upgrading / renewing your system
since BF3 is a pretty big game that needs quite a decent system.

Your specs aren't powerful enough to run BF3, that's for sure, but no idea about BO2.

I run BF3 up to 30-40 FPS when i'm not in big battles. On Black Ops 2 i run 40-65 FPS. Its no FPS lag but i freeze lag forward.

I think i ahve a 500 watt power supply. No special cooling system just basic fans (its shitty as fuck) and i can't find my motherboard name
