That's pretty cheap. Fish are worth $300 - $350, Gold are worth $400 - $500. If you bought it for cheaper than $250 then your merchant doesn't know how much fish are worth.

Chinese give you 50 hunger and are worth more than $250. Fish give you 70 and I'm selling them for $250. That's a good deal.

That's terrible marketing. If something gives back more hunger points, and actually requires work on the behalf of the fishermen, it should probably cost more.

Exactly! That's what I said! But everybody and their mom complains if it's even $250, so I have to keep it low.

Which server do you play on? On my two alt accounts I witnessed fish steadily remained priced at $300 - $350.
Also, just by the fact it gives 75 hunger over 50 hunger(Chineese Food - $250), and requires work to get it, it should cost more.

Contra Rule dictates the initial investment is made back within four cycles. The investment was $2000 for the fishing rod, therefore each normal fish should be between $400 - $500 range, and goldfish somewhere within $600 - $700 range.

Manufacture Rule dictates the initial investment is made back within five cycles. This means $300 - $400 per fish, and at least $500 - $600 per gold fish.

You guys have been selling fish at what is known as restocking price($150 - $250 range), and are getting ripped off a great deal if that wasn't your initial plans. Like if you were being payed that while working at a fishery, then it would be a fair deal, but selling it to players on the street who want it for food? You are getting boned sideways.
