It seems a new dawn is rising in the game industry...

I have recently heard of a ground-breaking new video game being developed called: The Universe Project.
From what I've understood it is far more than an ordinary game. It is an entire virtual reality, placed in the confinements of a game. Basically, their idea is to create an entire universe for players to explore, as individuals.
The first traces of civilization would be the players themselves, discovering tools and skills on their own, as they struggle against mathematically realistic elements. Everything can be developed and learned. You start from a little human being in the stone age, but with enough capability and a sprinkle of luck, you can create an EMPIRE to shake the planet.
As the community evolves technologically, so will the desire to expand. At some point, our gazes will be set to the stars... and off the go. After players have conquered this planet... ONTO THE REST OF THE UNIVERSE!

Finally, more information came out.
If you have signed up using the links I have posted, you have access to the main site where more information about the entire project came out. As of now, they've opened a donation section, to publicly kick-start the game. Donations are currently going via PayPal, you can support the project on the website itself.
