Then vs. Now

Things have changed a lot since I was around. I want to know where you were at in life when you started playing FL and where you're at now. I love the idea of seeing what people do IRL and comparing it to how they act on the server/RP. This one goes out to all my OG's as well, wya?

Me

Then: Started playing in college with no idea what job or purpose I had in life.

Now: 23 years old, met a girl through my old job, we had a baby, left the old job to set up our own social media agency, got a house.

Doesn't have to be work-related, just anything in life that's changed for you over the years compared to when you first joined the server.

Then : Fell out with a Friend while playing a Half Life RP server (which I never enjoyed) so I went and found fearless and was kinda hooked I guess.

Now : Left EC and the server itself as it doesn’t bring joy the same way and with all the new faces it just doesn’t feel like same, plus I guess life is starting back again and it’s just time to get on with it.

Then: I was not very political active at the time and I was going one of my last years in Primary school.

Now: I currently work as a shiftleader within Norway's largest amusement park, TusenFryd's Ticketing and Customerservice department and quite political active.

I started playing back when I was 11 years old in Elementary school, not too much going on in my life back then, basically just school, friends, and playing computer...

As you can imagine, a few "bigger" changes have happened for me in the 10 years that have passed:

• Moved 3 times, 1 time with parents and 2 times on my own.
  
• I've had 5 jobs (No job -> Delivery guy -> Grocery store cashier -> Grocery store shift manager -> Grocery store cashier -> IT supporter)
  
• Finished 2 educations (Elementary school, Secondary higher school, now going to university)
  
  

Now I work as an IT-Supporter doing all internal IT within a company, keeping all our servers running and making sure that all endpoint users have a smooth IT experience. I'm also taking a BEng in Software Technology where I'm in my fifth semester which is my last semester before beginning an internship.

I've met some fantastic people through my time on FL, some of them I still talk to every day and meet with regularly outside of the digital world, I live about 20 minutes away from LightBeer who I met back in 2011-ish and 5 minutes away from SweetTonic who I also met around that time.


TL;DR
Then - 11 y/o kid with a ton of spare time.
Now - 21 y/o man with a full-time education plus a part-time IT job.
