FPS Issues

So for the last few days my FPS has been crashing pretty bad on a lot of games. For an example, I used to get 80 FPS at a full competitive CS:GO game in Mirage but now I get 20-30 FPS in the same situation. It is the same with FL, where I get half fo what I normally get. My RAM shows it still has the same capacity however my computer has been heating up a lot along with the FPS crashes. Does anyone know what causes this/or any solutions?

If you say it's over heating alot your cpu may be thermal throttling under high loads, has your cpu cooler broken. To check if this is the problem aswell you could download Aida 64 and run a CPU benchmark and it will show you if this is the problem.

thanks for replies but I found and solved the problem myself-my fan exhaust was clogged
