MyBB 2-Factor Authentication

Hello!

Due to recent account hijacks and after some research into MyBB account security a two-factor authentication plugin has been installed on the forum. It is optional, so you don't have to do anything, but if you wish to improve upon the security of your account and prevent the loss of those sweet sweet likes (in case a hijacker deletes your threads) then set this up.

1. Download an authenticator app on your smart phone:

2. Go to: http://www.fearlessrp.net/usercp.php?action=mybb2fa
   
3. Press 'Activate'.
   
4. Scan the QR code with the authenticator app.
   
5. Do not remove the app or lose your phone before deactivating 2FA again. If you do, you will need to notify the admins of that and can expect to wait at least a week to have your account restored.
   

Tutorial to use:

1. Log in with correct credentials.
   
2. You will be requested to enter the authentication code.
   
3. Enter authentication code correctly and fast enough for it not to change and you're in!
   

The authentication should only be requested if you're logging into a new device or via a new IP or if you have logged out.

Authy is a good app too, pretty much the same however Authy supports backups.

True, I've heard good things about the app, but I haven't used it myself, so I didn't offer it to be used as I couldn't assist as easily.

What do you mean? You still need to enter your password. You can log in no matter the device, just need to enter the auto-regenerated code from your phone.
