Surly your Glider thingy would have also given some protection. It would have most likely picked up the wind as you went down slowly your fall.

Holy shit, that's quite serious. Did you get any photos of the x-rays? I mean, thats a very serious incident. May I also ask where you was gliding off a cliff?
