I believe there is no full proof way of stopping DDoS attacks. Other servers might say they have protection but no servers get DDoSed like fearless. This is because it is a highly ranked server and because of the number of rules many people get banned and 'Rage DDoS' the server. Not much you can do.

We do have one, but it keep getting bypassed sometimes.

There is no effective way of stopping a DDoS for good, since it's a network of servers of infected computers spamming until your connection gets completely clogged and your hardware simply jams.
