My team might not have won, but we got second place. I am very happy with that.

Honestly, it was quite scuffed but that's somewhat expected considering this is the first event in a very long time. Ultimately though, it was delayed for almost an hour, with the event being shorter for most vs how long everyone waited for it to start. It also didn't help that so little was known about the event going in, weapons were very bugged (AWP did 25hp damage) and the spawn locations were questionable. I think it'd be a lot better with multiple short rounds instead of one long round, and also a lot more testing to avoid all of the technical issues and bugs.

Yeah was a bit glitchy but definitely still worth playing and happy it went on. was very surprised changes were made while the server was live, usually there would be about 12 server restarts. apart from the few bugs was a good event. I’d agree with Pollux on a few shorter rounds and have almost like a chart/ranking rather than 1 large round as when dying i just assumed there would be another chance, with it being everyone’s first time back with MADCOW weapons.

I’d also agree on spawn points the we got spawned in the city and assumed we would have at least a team with us but we went the whole way round the map and came across our first sighting of players all the way at hospital. Which was quite weird

We spawned at lake and got stuck between two teams instantly (one grassy fields, one hospital), so we couldn't leave the lake cabins. Almost went out in the first 10 seconds since we got sniped while running since we didn't know people spawned super close, I guess the 25hp damage AWP saved us lol.

The in game waiting time was 30 minutes because of people restarting their games and also a bug with the inventory became very clear with a high amount of players and it was hard to realise without everyone on, and it was fixed without having to restart or anything

Only the sniper seemed to be bugged from what I see, and it would have been hard to notice during testing - we could have tested it more but we were mostly testing the rifles and shotguns and just shooting each other with the snipers and we didn’t notice the headshot damage and during the event I saw it was a little bit inconsistent, it didn’t always do only 25 damage.

The team spawns were because two teams got put in overflow spawns rather than in industrial and at the motel which was a comms issue on my part, I think because you started shooting at the grassy fields team that you got swarmed! Hospital people stayed at hospital while the connectivity people fought them, tides guys missed the ones at nexus because they hid and came up that road too

I agree with doing multiple rounds like a competition would’ve been better! I think that’s the only bit of explicit information I missed.

There’s only so much testing you can do, the real learning can only take place by running the event and seeing what works and what didnt

Agree with all that, maybe I could’ve put the nexus people a bit closer or something, oh and we forgot to block off the nexus garage so they were hiding there instead of moving out to city

Was going to say as we glanced everywhere of course we just looked through the windows couldn’t see anyone then moved a long as at the start it was almost like a rush round, as we were certain there would be at least 1 team with us in City. Only place we didn’t go down to was Izzies palace as we of course knew it was blocked off. 

but yeah for the first event in 2 years, it went well. A lot to take from it for more events in the future. Happily keep the AWP at 25 damage as well Smile lmao
