gambling is bad and this is a christian server

It’s always great to have a laugh at a serious topic - such as gambling addiction. Hopefully you will never in your life go through the process of being addicted to gambling and losing you’re family, house and ultimately life. 

Being exposed to gambling from a young age is fuelling addiction. It is despicable that casino are targeting minors.

all you lose is virtual money.

You can say all you want but a casino in a roleplay environment is still a simulation of an actual casino. Legally there would be no issue, but this is moreso about morals and ethics. It can fuel a gambling addiction and should not be taken lightly. I'm personally not completely against casinos.

I don't think whitelisting them is the solution as this would lead to monopoly and thus an even more fucked economy, but rather betting limits etc. should be set in place to streamline money influx from casinos compared to setting up a regular shop etc, while also ensuring both parties have a good time, and that is what this is all essentially about. Roleplay should be fun. It should not all be about making a quick buck 50/50.

Then you could argue that some people may also get addicted to buying new things, if they spend millions on the server. Because luxury problem is a real thing aswell. More and more people have the problem of buying things just because they see everyone else having it.

Let's just remove money packs from FL completley then, yes? That way no one can spend money buying virtual cash that really does not affect their lives in any way.

If you seriously compare gambling addictions to something you just stated then I suppose we can end the argument here.
