I think you should try theese two options:
- (when on Steam) Right click Garry's Mod -> Properties -> Local files -> Verify integrity of game cache. Let it load.
- Start Garry's Mod -> Start Singleplayer, when you are in your singleplayer game -> Directly connect to desired Fearess server.
If this does not work, please make a reply and I'll see if I can find any other solutions.
