I notice players using the Storefront_Template001a_Bars.mdl (http://i.imgur.com/UOuCP.png) model all the time for their bases.
As many players know it becomes see through on one side and not on another when a solid material is applied to it (http://i.imgur.com/UkKUR.jpg); this fact makes it very good to use for bases. It also has convenient dimensions.. Its tall enough to completely cover a player. On its side a player can shoot over it with only their head showing.
My question is: Are players allowed to use this prop for basing; if so under what conditions?
I ask this because the rules do not specify *clearly* if this is allowed or not.
I read through the rules before I used this prop, the only one that may go against it is this base rule: "4. Barricades cannot be made so it is impossible for attackers to shoot you." Though it is quite possible to hit someone unless it was set up so they can't. Also because it is made of metal it causes a lot of ricochet, so I usually die from that.
