Yeah Jono that was it.
I factorised it to get (n+9)(n-10)=0
Then I worked out that n=10
If you then substitute 10 back into the equation it works:
10² - 10 - 90 = 0
100 - 10 - 90 = 0
90 - 90 = 0
That was for part b) of the question. I had no idea how to do part a)
