SRU Changes (SWAT + Models)

I thought I saw somewhere being said "SWAT name might take protection from the president" or something similiar. Well if I am correct SRU/SWAT were to protect Nexus not the president himself? So if president isn't in nexus SWAT are standing there for no reason right?

Neither of the afore mentioned are SWAT/SRU's job. SWAT stands for Special Weapons and Tactics, SRU stands for Strategic Response Unit....none of they names indicate "defending the nexus" or "defending the president"

They are there standing by for callouts when normal police officers cannot contain the situation, examples are gun fights, breaking into Gang bases where there is a possibility of violence etc.
