I believe that the crowbar should stay for rp purposes however a more realistic and common home defense weapon would be better than a combat knife or crowbar.
Also, to make a suggestion maybe change the crowbar to do more damage as it is a sharp weapon and could easily sever off someone's arm if enough force is applied also change the sound so it sounds like it is actually doing damage and breaking the skin and muscle.
