Based on the evidence, there's not enough to condemn the fact that he did it randomly. And as of the fear rp, there was no gun on him but you in the car. And before you were already shooting at him so fear RP could not apply if you are shooting at them already. He did listen when you were escorting him to the car, but you had no weapon when you were telling him to get into the car. He was able to run away because there was no weapon on him while you were in the vehicle.
