Beating the *** out of an unarmed guy on the floor who isn't resisting arrest is not necessary lol.

It shows a message to the other rioters/looters for not abiding to the law. You hear about the incident in Birmingham? Some guy ran over two people who were trying to protect their community from destruction. Tell me, if these people did that, would it still be unnecessary? Police can't take no risks with rioters and looters, it's a disgrace to our country and Police should be allowed to use whatever they feel is necessary to overcome the situation right now. Doesn't matter if they're unarmed or what, they were still rioting and should face punishment like any other criminal.
