This is to proof that Ed Gein haven't anything to do with the chainsaw massacre, the chainsaw massacre was named: Thomas Hewitt. And had a total of: 32 kills with the chainsaw and rest with different methods.
It is based on a true story for those who haven't heard of him.

This isn't the real tape but after the last reported murders in 1973 2 officers decided to go down into the basement, because they think it is over but then they get wounded.
Go to: 23:00 sec and the "real" start, actually you can't say that only tape is real, because everything that happens in the movie is mostly real. But the tape is what it looks like today, if you walked down there today you would see the scratches in the wall too, if not the police removed every single sign down there.

My thougths is: It is real.
The house is blocked off in Texas by the police, because the case today still remains OPEN.
