There was evidence in the Nexus that would put me in jail.
I was brought into the Nexus by the Police before the assisted escape.
As I said before, this was not a spur of the moment, "lol lets raid the nexus," this was where the Police had brought me in, and I attempted to destroy evidence and escape.
In simple terms, there were two reasons:
1) I had to destroy the evidence on me.
2) I had to escape.
