Over the past two days, the servers have been DDOS'd quite heavily, resulting in rollbacks of items purchased or dropped, your Comet is no longer in your inventory, but you will have probably had your money returned to you, try and remember how much you had before you purchased it.
If the money has not automatically returned to your character, you will have to wait for an Admin to go over this and sort the situation out.
