You couldn't have "checked the coding for it", only like 10% of it is clientside html and javascript.
I'll explain how it works.
When you enter your login details, it uses ajax to submit a post request to the backend scripts with your username and password
The backend script then queries

That's all we do with your password, your password only gets used for validation and is not stored in any way.
If you really don't trust us that much, change your password, validate then change back again.
