Looking for good horror games

I would try Cry of Fear but i won't know if it works on my non steam version at all and I've heard it won't

If you go to Cry of Fear's website and download it from there you can download a client similar to steam that makes it a whole lot easier to play Cry of Fear and i can tell you that it work with the non steam version i have it on my computer and it's working fine.
